Register as a New Patient

Borough Road and Nunthorpe Medical Group is part of Holgate PCN. We have an open list and welcome requests for registration from patients living in or moving to the practice area.

Please be aware that this surgery does not routinely prescribe the following medications:

• Gabapentin (e.g. Neurontin)
• Pregabalin (e.g. Lyrica)
• Codeine
• Tramadol

• Co-codamol
• Co-dydramol
• Dihydrocodeine
• Fentanyl (e.g. Durogesic patches)
• Buprenorphine (e.g. BuTec patches)
• Morphine (e.g. MST tablets, Oramorph oral solution, Zomorph capsules)
• Oxycodone (e.g. OxyContin)

If you have been prescribed any of these medications in the past, this does not automatically mean they will continue. We will review your individual circumstances to assess whether these medicines are still clinically necessary and appropriate for you.

If they are no longer required, we will work with you to safely and gradually reduce and stop the medication, providing appropriate support throughout the process.

Once registered, you will be allocated a named accountable GP. However, you may speak with or have an appointment with any GP in the practice. If you have a preferred named GP, please inform the reception team.
