My special interests are contraception and gynaecology. I am involved with the urgent care workstream and i train final year medical students. I enjoy running with my dog in my spare time.

Nurse Practitioners

JANE BILTON (FEMALE)

As an experienced Clinical Practitioner, I provide care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment through to evaluation; this also includes prescribing appropriately. My role is useful for the management of your sudden onset illnesses or non-urgent illnesses or follow up's requiring same day appointments. If at any time I feel you need to be assessed by the GP this will be arranged. I may also see you for chronic disease management.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Primary Care Network Staff

Borough Road and Nunthorpe Medical Group are part of the Holgate Primary Care Network. Holgate Primary Care Network is a group of five GP practices working together to employ additional staff and provide additional services to our patient population. The Holgate Primary Care Network practices are Borough Road & Nunthorpe Medical Group, Linthorpe Surgery, Village Medical Group and the Foundations practices ( Acklam road and Harris street). Working together as a Primary Care Network allows us to access a wider range of additional roles to support and enhance the service we can provide to our registered patients. The practice works very closely with our Primary Care Network colleagues, as a patient you may be offered an appointment with a member of the Primary Care Network Team depending on your presenting condition.
